“Gallo” Estrada Holds Public Workout Ahead of April 11 Clash with Tenshin Nasukawa

On the 6th, former two-division world champion Juan Francisco Estrada (Mexico), who will face Tenshin Nasukawa(Teiken) in a WBC Bantamweight title eliminator on the 11th at Ryogoku Kokugikan, held a public workout at the Teiken Gym.

Estrada, nicknamed “Gallo,” is burning with determination to become a three-division champion. While almost any boxer before a fight would say, “I’m in good condition and feel great,” the 35-year-old veteran gave off a truly lean and sharp impression. He stated that he has prepared thoroughly in his hometown of Hermosillo and in Mexico City. The training shown to the media—including mitt work, heavy bag work, and speed bag—was light, yet it offered a glimpse of his high-quality boxing through his continuous footwork as he circled and threw punches, along with his rapid and abundant volume of strikes. “Since Tenshin is a southpaw,” Estrada said, he completed numerous sparring sessions with southpaws in Mexico. With the calm demeanor of a veteran, he remarked, “Since it’s a fight in Tenshin’s home territory, I have to win with a performance that leaves no room for doubt.” It was also mentioned that his wife, Mrs. Gallardo, along with three of their four children, will be coming to support him at the match. The bout will be held as the main event of “Prime Video BOXING 15.”
