In the chief support, a scheduled eight-round bout for the vacant OPBF female super flyweight title, Yuki Fuke (Misako) secured a fifth-round TKO victory over Wang Shidi (China). Fuke brought the contest to a halt at 1:40 of the round following a heavy right hand and a subsequent barrage of punches to become the new champion. On the undercard, highly touted prospect Kenshin Yura (Shisei) recorded a convincing TKO victory.

Okamoto’s sophisticated offensive out-boxing remained sharp from start to finish. The bout opened with a battle of Jabs, but while Shimada looked for singular body shots, Okamoto established his rhythm with consistent, sharp leads. Combined with nimble footwork, he left Shimada with few opportunities to close the distance.

By the third round, Okamoto found success with both left and right uppercuts and a leaping left hook. Growing in confidence, he utilized feints and a controlling jab to dictate the pace, causing visible swelling under Shimada’s right eye. The open scoring after five rounds reflected Okamoto’s dominance, with two judges scoring it 49-46 and the third 50-45.

Shimada, who had kept his right hand largely holstered in the early stages, found himself unable to let it go due to the nuisance of Okamoto’s lead. When he did commit to the attack, he was met with sharp one-two counters. In the seventh, Okamoto brought the crowd to its feet by landing a heavy right counter as Shimada pressed forward.

Against Shimada’s dogged aggression and search for a power shot, Okamoto displayed masterful movement, pivoting away while firing heavy right counters. He fought with complete freedom, utilizing a diverse array of feints, straight rights, and fluid upper-body movement. Built upon a solid technical foundation, his bold right uppercuts proved particularly effective throughout the contest.

“I wanted to deliver a more satisfying performance. This is just the beginning,” said a self-critical Okamoto. However, despite his somber reflection, he soon broke into a blemish-free smile as he celebrated a double occasion: becoming the first champion in his gym’s history on his 22nd birthday.

Okamoto improves his record to 13-1-1 (7 KOs). The 28-year-old Shimada, suffering his first professional defeat, moves to 9-1-1 (3 KOs).

8-Round Super Lightweight Bout Kenshin Yura (Shisei) def. Murat-Han Aibole (China) by TKO at 1:32 of Round 5

Yura, ranked 13th by the OPBF, delivered a clinical performance, systematically breaking down his opponent before securing two knockdowns—one with a right to the head in the second and another with a stabbing right to the body in the fifth.

Facing an opponent in Aibole who frequently switched stances and looked to land short punches, Yura applied constant pressure while neutralizing the threat through subtle footwork and upper-body movement. In the second round, as Aibole shifted to southpaw and led with a right hook followed by a left straight, Yura timed a sharp right hand perfectly to score the first knockdown.

Maintaining his composure and rhythm without over-committing, Yura hurt Aibole in the third with a combination featuring a right uppercut and a left hook to the body. The finish arrived in the fifth when a short right straight to the midsection sent Aibole to his knees. Observing the fighter’s condition, the referee waved off the contest.

Yura (24) moves to 5-0 (4 KOs). Aibole (25) falls to 9-3-3 (1 KO).
