JBC says 32 pro boxers proved positive in COVID-19 PCR tests in January

A total of 32 professional boxers proved positive in COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction tests in January, the Japan Boxing Commission said on Jan. 31.

Amid the nation’s sixth wave of COVID-19 infections, 15 boxers were found positive in the Kanto East Japan area, 11 in the southwestern region of Kyushu. five in Osaka and other western Japan region and one in a central Japan prefecture, according to the JBC.
