WBO female super flyweight champ Yoshida moves to Misako gym

Aug 27, 2020 19:24 pm

World Boxing Organization female super flyweight champion Miyo Yoshida was transferred to Misako Boxing Gym from EBISU K’sBOX, both in Tokyo, on Aug. 26, Misako Gym said.

The 32-year-old Yoshida captured the vacant WBO title in June last year by decisioning Casey Morton of the United States and made a successful defense of the title on the New Year’s Eve of that year, both in Japan.

While raising a daughter as a single mother, Yoshida is determined to do her best so that she can express her appreciation for efforts made by people of EBISU KʼsBOX.’’

Misako Gym officials said they want to nurture Yoshida further so that she can fight abroad. Yoshida’s record has a record of 14 wins against a loss. But she has no knockout victory.
