The World Boxing Organization’s Asia-Pacific female bantamweight champion Terumi Nuki of Shinsei Boxing Gym pounded out an eight-round unanimous decision over   Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation female super bantamweight champion Makoto Kikuchi of Ishikawa Boxing Gym Tachikawa to retain her title on June 9 in Tokyo.

All three judges scored the fight 78-74 in favor of Nuki. It was the 35-year-old Nuki’s first successful defense of the title she captured last January.
