Undefeated World Boxing Association light flyweight ‘’super’’ champion Hiroto Kyoguchi of Watanabe Boxing Gym, who will defend his title against Axel Aragon Vega of Mexico in Dallas in the U.S. state of Texas on March 13 (14 Japan time), has received a tee shirt with group efforts from the Osaka Convention and Tourism Bureau, for which Kyoguchi serves as a goodwill ambassador, the gym said on March 10.
‘’Even though I am outside Japan, receiving this kind of hearty cheers is encouraging,’’ Kyoguchi, 27, said through the gym.
Ever since he entered Dallas on March 5 (local time), Kyoguchi has been training at a specially established training gym inside the hotel where he stays as he turned in a regular training on March 9 (local time), following the preceding day when he had 12 rounds of exercise, according to the gym. He has been doing fine in his weight control, it added.
Kyoguchi has 14 straight wins, including nine KOs. The 20-year-old Vega, ranked 10th in the division, has a 14-3-1 win-loss-draw tally with eight knockouts. Photo by Watanabe Boxing Gym
