Takuma Inoue Wraps Up Intensive Training Camp in Yubari; Rematch with Tenshin Nasukawa Set for Sept. 27

WBC bantamweight champion Takuma Inoue (Ohashi Gym) has wrapped up his intense training camp in Yubari, Hokkaido, which began on 10 August, as he prepares for the second defence of his title at Toyota Arena Tokyo on 27 September.Inoue will face top-ranked contender Tenshin Nasukawa (Teiken Gym) in a rematch of their November clash.

The training camp was joined by his older brother Naoya Inoue, Shogo Tanaka, Ryutaro Nakagaki, and Seiya Yamaguchi. Instruction was provided by Shingo Inoue, Akira Yaegashi, Yasuhiro Suzuki, Koki Inoue, and Daisuke Yamagishi. According to gym president Hideyuki Ohashi, the camp proved exceptionally intense, featuring “training content unlike anything conducted before.”

Going forward, he will begin sparring-focused training at Ohashi Gym in Yokohama to prepare for the highly anticipated rematch. Three Mexican fighters will also be arriving in Japan shortly to serve as his sparring partners.
