All 6 boxers clear weigh-ins for ‘Prime Video Presents Live Boxing 5’ at Tokyo’s Ariake Arena on Sept. 18

  All six boxers competing in ‘’Prime Video Presents Live Boxing 5’’ cleared the weigh-ins in their first attempts at a hotel in Tokyo on Sept. 17, thereby setting the stage for their fights concerned on the following day at Tokyo’s Ariake Arena.

Teraji (R) and Budler

World Boxing Association and World Boxing Council light flyweight champion Kenshiro Teraji of B.M.B. Boxing Gym tipped the scales at 48.6 kg (107.1 lbs.), whereas challenger Hekkie Budler of South Africa, ranked first by the WBC and fourth by the WBA, weighed in at 48.8 kg. Both were the under the class limit of 48.9 kg.

Nakatani (R ) and Cortes

  Meanwhile, World Boxing Organization super flyweight champion Junto Nakatani of M.T Boxing Gym, who is making his first defense of the title against sixth-ranked challenger Argi Cortes of Mexico, weighed 52.0 kg, under the class limit of 52.1 kg, while Cortes tipped the scales at 51.9 kg.

Nasukawa psyching himself up

  Highly touted kickboxer-turned Tenshin Nasukawa of Teiken Boxing Gym, who will have his second bout as a professional boxer, weighed in at 55.7 kg in a super bantamweight eight-rounder with Mexican bantamweight champion Luis Guzman whose weight was 55.4 kg.
