All boxers taking part in Oct. 7 ‘3150FIGHT vol.7’ in Tokyo clear weigh-ins

  All the participating boxers in ‘’3150FIGHT vol.7’’ at Tokyo’s Ota City General Gymnasium on Oct. 7 cleared their respective weigh-ins in Tokyo on Oct. 6, thereby setting the stage for their bouts.

  World Boxing Council minimumweight champion Panya Pradabsri of Thailand, 32, tipped the scales at 47.5 kg (104.7 lbs.) while WBC interim minimumweight champion Yudai Shigeoka of Watanabe Boxing Gym, 26, weighed in at the class limit of 47.6 kg.  

  Panya is making his fifth defense of the title he won in November 2020.

Meanwhile, International Boxing Federation minimumweight champion Daniel Valladares, 29, of Mexico tipped the scales at 47. 5 kg. Shigeoka’s younger brother and IBF interim minimumweight kingpin Ginjiro Shigeoka, 23, of the same gym weighed 47.6 kg.

The fight will be their rematch for the first time in nine months.

  The IBF’s fifth-ranked featherweight Tomoki Kameda of TMK GYM will meet eighth-ranked featherweight Lerato Dlamini of South Africa to decide the division’s second-ranked boxer. Kameda weighed in at 57.0 kg while Dlamini tipped the scales at 56.9 kg.

The scheduled 12-rounder will serve as the main event of the day’s extravaganza.

  Japanese heavyweight champion Mitsuro Brandon Tajima of KWORLD3 Boxing Gym weighed 114.6 kg. The 28-year-old Tajima has been fighting every month since this past June. His opponent Williams Ocando of Venezuela, 35, tipped the scales at 98.4 kg.

   For more fights are expected to take place at the gymnasium.
