Teenage pro boxer in Nagoya found to have developed coronavirus

A teenage boxing trainee at a gym in Japan’s southernmost prefecture of Okinawa was found to have the novel coronavirus through polymerase chain reaction or PCR tests, the first time a person infected with the coronavirus has been found in Okinawa, Japan Boxing Commission said on Aug. 2.
According to the commission, the teenager is not a professional boxer and is waiting to be hospitalized as he only has a mild fever. The gym is under the wing of Japan Pro Boxing Associations.
In the boxing world, the first person infected with the coronavirus was found at a gym in the central Japanese prefecture of Aichi.
A cluster of coronavirus infections occurred at gyms in Osaka in July, bringing the total number of infectants in the western Japanese prefecture to 16.
