World Boxing Association ‘’super’’ and International Boxing Federation bantamweight champion Naoya ‘’The Monster’’ Inoue of Ohashi Boxing Gym engaged in sparring sessions with two boxers at the gym on Apr. 14 to prepare for his title unification fight with World Boxing Council bantamweight ruler Nonito Donaire of the Philippines on June 7 at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama Prefecture.

Inoue sparred with Japan youth super bantamweight champion Ryuya Tsugawa of Mitsuki Boxing Gym and Filipino featherweight Genesis Servania of Kashimi Boxing Gym.

Hideyuki Ohashi, who observed the sparring, said, ‘’Inoue went full-send with good speed and timing, adding the gym will invite two more sparring partners from the Philippines in May.

Inoue, who turned 29 on Apr. 10, and Donaire, 39, fought in November 2019 in the final of the World Boxing Super Series in the same arena, in which Inoue was forced to a hard-fought battle but won with a unanimous decision after scoring a knockdown in the 11th round with a body shot.
