Former International Boxing Federation super bantamweight champion Ryosuke Iwasa of Celes Boxing Sports Gym will return to the ring as he will face former World Boxing Organization’s top-ranked featherweight Genesis Llasos Servania of the Philippines in Tokyo on Oct. 25, the Ohashi Boxing Gym which will organize the event said on July 29.

The scheduled 10-rounder at Korakuen Hall will be the 32-year-old Iwasa’s first bout since losing to International Boxing Federation super bantamweight and World Boxing Association ‘’super’’ champion in the division Murodjon Akhmadaliev of Uzbekistan with a fifth-round technical knockout in April last year.

Iwasa has a record of 27 wins, including 17 knockouts, against four losses. The 30-year-old Servania, who now belongs to Kashimi Boxing Gym in Ishikawa Prefecture and has long served as a sparring partner of Naoya ‘’The Monster’’ Inoue of the Ohashi gym, has a 34-3 win-loss record with 16 KOs.
