Taiwan hopes to deepen exchanges with the Japanese boxing world as three Taiwanese boxers took part in the boxing matches in Kumamoto Prefecture on Oct. 16, Taiwanese promoter Hong Mao said after the day’s event.

In the day’s main event at Shiroyama Sky Dome in the southwestern prefecture, Taiwan’s Yu Che Li beat Kazuhiro Imamura of Honda Fitness Boxing Gym with a referee stopped contest at the end of the third-round of a scheduled six-round featherweight bout due to Imamura’s eye injury.

Earlier, Taiwan’s Wu Eun kyung won in a women’s lightweight four-rounder.

But in the day’s chief supporting card, Misaki Hirano of Mimatsu Sports Boxing Gym, who is currently ranked 15th in the Japanese super bantamweight division, decisioned Taiwan’s Chuan Hsun Hong in a super bantamweight six-rounder.
