Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation featherweight champion Satoshi Shimizu, International Boxing Federation’s 12th-ranked super lightweight Andy Hiraoka, former K-1 champion Yoshiki Takei and several other Ohashi Boxing Gym members began joint training camp at Tanzawa in Kanagawa Prefecture, southwest of Tokyo, on Jan. 25.
During the training, which will last through Jan. 28, they will enhance stamina by running on Tanzawa’s sloping roads chiefly under the watchful eyes of Ohashi gym trainer Akira Yaegashi, a former world champion of three different weight divisions. E&J Cassius Gym’s Mirai Naito has also joined the camp.
