Undefeated World Boxing Organization flyweight champion Junto Nakatani of M.T Boxing Gym tipped the scales at 50.53 kg (111.4 lb) while top-ranked Angel Acosta of Puerto Rico weighed in at the class limit of 50.80kg (112 lb) in preparation for Nakatani’s Sept. 10 (11 Japan times) title defense in Tucson in the State of Arizona, southeastern part of the U.S.
It will be the 23-year-old Nakatani’s first defense of the title he captured by knocking out Giemel Magramo of the Philippines last November in Tokyo.
The scheduled 12-rounder will be held at Tucson’s Casino Del Sol.
Nakatani has 21 straight wins, including 16 KOs, while the 30-year-old Acosta, a former WBO light flyweight champion, has a 22-2 win-loss record with 21 KOs. Photo by M.T Boxing Gym
