Aug 05, 2022 17:55 pm

Blind boxing, originated in Japan, was shown to fans between fights at Tokyo’s Korakuen Hall on Aug. 4 to the surprise of many fans at the hall.

A completely blind person (competitor) went a round of sparring with a competitor with weak eyesight, which caused many fans at the hall to let out a gasp of astonishment for their sharp body movement. In blind boxing, one round lasts two minutes.

Blind Boxing Association President Ryuji Muramatsu, a former top-ranked Japanese light flyweight and currently the head of D&D Boxing Gym, greeted fans and explained what blind boxing is all about from the ring.
