World Boxing Organization’s seventh-ranked super lightweight Jose Garcia of Mexico will take on fourth-ranked Japanese super lightweight Akihiro Kondo of Ichiriki Boxing Gym in the ‘’3150FIGHT SURVIVAL vol.7’’ on July 20 at Tokyo’s Korakuen Hall, Kameda Promotion Co. said on July 26.
The 23-year-old Garcia, nicknamed ‘’Superman’’ for his appearance similar to the legendary fictional character in the action movie, has recently sealed an agreement with the promotion, becoming the first non-Japanese who has concluded a promotional contract with the company led by Koki Kameda, popularly known as Kameda ‘’founder.’’
Garcia has a record of 16 wins, including 15 knockouts, against a loss and a draw with one no contest, while the 38-year-old Kondo has a 36-11-2 win-loss-draw tally with 21 KOs.
