Former Japanese featherweight champion Hinata Maruta of Morioka Boxing Gym will face Hon Quan Dinh of Vietnam on Apr. 21 in Ho Chi Minh City, southern Vietnam, for the World Boxing Organization’s vacant oriental super lightweight title, the Osaka-based gym said on March 3.

It will be the 25-year-old Maruta’s first fight since losing his Japanese featherweight title to Reiya Abe of KG Yamato Boxing Gym last May.
Maruta has a record of 12 wins, including nine knockouts, against two losses and a draw, while Dinh, also 25, has a 10-1-1 win-loss-draw tally with four KOs.
