A total of 16 people concerned with boxing gyms in Osaka Prefecture under the wing of the Japan Pro Boxing Associations are or were suffering from the novel coronavirus or COVID-19 as five more persons in boxing gyms in the western Japanese prefecture tested positive in antigen tests on July 28.
The five are three pro boxers in their twenties, one manager in his thirties and one pro boxer in his twenties who belongs to another gym but had sparring sessions at the said gym.
